Something new.

One small update! Nothing exciting to post at this moment :(

And Suddenly...

Birds! Lots of them! An art installation piece for school. It was fun not working in front of the computer. This piece took three weeks to complete, with the help of friends who folded paper cranes.

ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!

So! I shall post some stuff!

I call this the laser bird! Not because it shoots laser from its eye, but it makes annoying "pew pew" sounds.

Finally edited this. Looks much better! :D

you know who? It's Pika Boo!
 Exaggeration practice.

Gift for my dear friend! She enjoys people dementing her gaia forum avatar!

and that's it! I shall aim to post more coloured (completed) works. Everything is looking dull in black and white! Until then!

Infected Mushroom!

Hey there! I'd like to share with you guys that on November, I managed to ambush Erez Eisen of Infected Mushroom outside Zouk to give him this infected mushroom I drew! And the next day, I saw the print posted on the Infected Mushroom facebook! It made me hop around, giggling like a nutjob. Such a great honor to be able to give back to your favourite artists! Thanks Erez, that really made my 2010.  (Meant to post this weeks ago but I was literally drowning with assignments.)

And their really really REALLY fantastic music!!

Things from school.

Oh yes, I haven't mention that I am still in school. Well, I am finishing my final semester in an animation program. So, this post is dedicated to exercises that I have done from a matte painting module. They were done somewhere between late October to early November.

For the first lesson, we were told to paint over  a doodle  done by a lecturer's son within 2 hours.

Here's the result. My brain felt numb after that two hours as  I haven't painted digitally in months. I like the result!

Material study. Managed to capture the nature of the objects!

Photo study of a building.

Trying new things.

Trying out a brush inking technique! Good start.

Another ink test with water colour! :D

This guy deserves a stand alone. Yes, I like robots.

This was done a couple months back. Everyone has their bad days.  :I

I am currently efficient in churning out critters with a pencil and capturing the essence of the idea. However, I find that  I am not able to capture that same dynamism when I use another media or colour. So join me as I plod on, experimenting and searching.

First post.

Trying out a new sketching technique here. I like it.

Sketching practice!

Um.
